Specialized Tutoring
$160/hr. ($140/hr via Zoom) Private sessions focused on academic and vocational growth.
For students with education plans, this service includes prep work for implementing accommodations and modifications for general education classwork, as well as enrichment activities for learning-specific skill-building. In addition to tackling classwork, we’ll be working on developing effective work habits, exploring assistive technology, and creating helpful organization systems.
Students can schedule in-person sessions in our downtown Berkeley office or over Zoom. I will have recommendations for in-person or Zoom sessions based on each student’s learning needs.
Before we get started, please be sure to have the following items ready
- For students with IEPs: a full copy of your most recent IEP, along with the latest triennial/eligibility document (including academic and psychological evaluations). Please provide this 48 hours ahead of our scheduled session.
- For students with 504 plans: a copy of your plan.
- For EL and students with non-specific academic plans: any documentation from your school site with your academic plan.
Parents should plan on attending the first session with their student so we can discuss ideal learning outcomes.

Academic and Post-secondary Assessments
$160/hr for test proctoring, $200 for basic academic report, $400 for extended battery academic report
For families that want a better idea of their student’s academic strengths and vocational pathways, I provide a full battery of testing to measure the following areas based on grade level standards:
- Written expression and sentence writing fluency
- Math calculation, math facts fluency and practical application
- Reading comprehension, fluency and letter word identification
- Vocational affinity areas
For the basic academic report option, I use diagnostic toolkits utilized by most California school districts to measure academic eligibility for Individualized Education Programs.
The extended battery academic report includes the above diagnostic plus a more thorough assessment dedicated solely to measuring reading ability. I emphasize having an accurate idea of reading skill as it is the foundation in which all other learning takes place.
Both report prices include a one hour post-assessment consultation. This is an in-person only service.
